Nigerian Striker Ighalo Currently Mourning After Losing Dad

"RIP Daddy" was the phase he could post on his twitter handle. Definitely, it is a very emotional time for the Watford Striker as he announced the death of his father just hours after the team played their FA Cup semi-final 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Wembley. Family sources have confirmed the death of the father of the Nigeria Eagles and Watford striker. Mr. Ighalo is reported to have died on Monday.

Ighalo’s dad died in his Ajegunle home, after having recovered from weakness and loss of appetite.

Mr. Ighalo was immediately buried in his home-town, Emaudo, Ekpoma, Edo State.

The Nigerian Football Federation sent their condolences to the striker Odion, over the death of his father.

He was aged 95 years.
